Calendar Mar 9, 2026 at 9 am

Class Level 4 (In-Person)

Machine overview. Description of the major components and their purpose. Leveling the machine (Introduce the concept of level calibration, placement, and use). Disassemble the Rotary Table (B+C Axis on DVF 5000). Go over proper techniques for disassembly. How to take apart the gearboxes for both the 4th + 5th axis and how to properly set the backlash in this system.  Go over how to set the rotary table correctly into the machine and how to properly do the mechanical alignments in the machine. Also go over how to re-set the reference positions, how to calibrate the probe, and how to run our kinematics cycle. Go over the proper steps from start to finish how to set the geometry on the machine for accurate 5-axis machining. ATC alignments/adjustments. Review how the control logically uses the tool changer. How to remove and install the ATC swing arm, how to set the tool change position (2nd reference), how to set spindle orientation, and how to recover the tool changer.

This is a 5-Axis Machine Class (5A)

This is a 5 day class, in person @ our CTC

Day 1 = 1 P.M. to 4 P.M. (NO LUNCH)

Day 2 = 9 A.M. to 4 P.M.

Day 3 = 9 A.M. to 4 P.M.

Day 4 = 9 A.M. to 4 P.M.

Calendar Mar 24, 2026 at 9 am

Class Level 2 (In-Person)

The class is a full tear down and rebuild of the Tool Post assembly and removal of the Live-Tool for a Puma series servo turret (covers both front and rear mount live tooling units), along with in-class instruction/training for how it applies to other machines. Also will go over the theroy of hydraulic turrets. Upon completion the student should be able to easily take apart, rebuild, realign, reassemble, and re-program any applicable component of a Live-Tool or Tool Post, as well as how it relates to the machine’s geometry.

This is a Turning Center Class (TC)

This is a 2 day class, in person @ our CTC

Day 1 = 9 A.M. to 4 P.M

Day 2 = 9 A.M. to TBD
