On-Site: Multi-Tasking Milling Spindle Exchange
with Rich Nawrocki
Class Level 4 (In-Person)
This is a charged class
$1,500.00 Per seat. Must provide P.O.# before.
This class will involve physically removing and reinstalling the actual spindle on a SMX machine.Milling spindle disassembly and reassembly. How to check the Pusher Gap, Introduce the Rotary Union, Clamp/LVDT Sensor theory, what a BZi sensor is and how to adjust it, and all about the drawbar information (Clamp Force, Kick-Out, and Drawbar Stroke). Review how to break in the spindle, how to balance the spindle, and how to use the ATC system (alignment, spindle orient, and recovery).
This is a Multi-Tasking Machine Class (MT)
This is a week long class, in person @ our CTC
Day 1 =1P.M. to 4 P.M.
Day 2 = 9 A.M. to 4 P.M.
Day 3 = 9 A.M. to 4 P.M.
Day 4 = 9 A.M. to 4P.M.

On-Site: DVF Maintenance (5000 w/ Siemens)
with Rich Nawrocki
Class Level 4 (In-Person)
This class is now offered as a PAID CLASS
$1,500.00 Per Seat.
Machine overview. Description of the major components and their purpose. Leveling the machine (Introduce the concept of level calibration, placement, and use). Disassemble the Rotary Table (B+C Axis on DVF 5000). Go over proper techniques for disassembly. How to take apart the gearboxes for both the 4th + 5th axis and how to properly set the backlash in this system. Go over how to set the rotary table correctly into the machine and how to properly do the mechanical alignments in the machine. Also go over how to re-set the reference positions, how to calibrate the probe, and how to run our kinematics cycle. Go over the proper steps from start to finish how to set the geometry on the machine for accurate 5-axis machining. ATC alignments/adjustments. Review how the control logically uses the tool changer. How to remove and install the ATC swing arm, how to set the tool change position (2nd reference), how to set spindle orientation, and how to recover the tool changer.
This is a 5-Axis Machine Class (5A)
