On-Site: Siemens Sinumerik One Basics

Class Level 2 (In-Person)
In this course, we will cover only the Siemens Control. Explain the layout of the hardware and what these components do. Go over how to navigate the control and how the menus are structured. Describe how the alarms are displayed and structured. Go over the concept of archives and how to use them (back-up of memory). Explain how the data works in the control, these are the "settings" of the machine (similar to parameters in Fanuc). Common data that service/maintenance would use, how to calibrate probes/Q-setter, and how to navigate our EOP screens. Will also go over the concept of using the trace function and the use of TiA Portal (PLC Software).

On-Site: VMC Repair Basics (3-Axis Mill)

Class Level 2 (In-Person)
Machine overview. Description of the major components and their purpose. leveling the machine (Introduce the concept of level calibration, placement, and use). Ballscrew removal/replacement and how to set the machine’s reference positions. ATC alignments/adjustments. How to exchange a magazine pocket, how to remove and install the ATC swing arm, how to set the tool change position (2nd reference), how to set spindle orientation, and how to recover the tool changer. Control functions/diagnostics. Go over the electronic hardware, I/O system, Trace function, and how to use the PLC for troubleshooting.

This is a 5 day class, in person @ our CTC
Day 1 = 1 P.M. to 4 P.M. (NO LUNCH)
Day 2 = 9 A.M. to 4 P.M.
Day 3 = 9 A.M. to 4 P.M.
Day 4 = 9 A.M. to 4 P.M.
Day 5 = 9 A.M. to TBD (Around 12 P.M. and NO LUNCH)
5-Axis Machine with FANUC Control

This 3-day class will cover 5-Axis programming and operation with the FANUC control.
Course Overview
Day 1 will start in the classroom and cover the basics.
Day 2 will explore 3+2 programming, TWP.
Day 3 will cover simultaneous 5-Axis for Fanuc 31i-B5 machines, TCPC.

Prerequisite Requirements:
Advanced Milling Course or a minimum of 3 years’ experience with multi-axis machines
