Course Overview

SMX Multi-Tasking

Course Overview:
This 3-Day course provides an in-depth study of Multi-Tasking Machining. The course covers ATC function, B-Axis programming, B-Axis special cycles, programming shortcuts, Two path control, Cross path machining, program format, Sub-spindle usage, Live Tools, Y-Axis, sub programming, Sync codes.

Materials to Bring:
A notebook or pad, pens, pencils and a calculator are recommended. Laptops with CAM software are optional and recommended.
Prerequisite:
Advanced Turning and Milling Course or a minimum of 3 years’ experience with Multi-Axis Machines.

Puma Twin Turret Turning Center

This course covers TT and TL twin turret lathes. Topics covered include cycles, multi-path turning and milling, Y-Axis, sub-spindle operation, cutter compensation, path synchronization, tool offsets, work coordinates, live tool operations.
